It all began with an empty coloring book.
When I was young, coloring was one of my favorite things to do. I lost myself in the blank pages, and my mind wondered with endless possibilities of how each page was going to turn out. I strived for each page to be realistic, yet unique. As I grew, my passion for art grew with me. I enjoyed art more and more every day, and my creative mind was soon challenged when I got into my first art class. I started off just doodling, not really sure how to make a piece of art. When I started on my first self portrait, I knew this is where I needed to be. I spent the next few years growing and expanding my style of art. I quickly found out that I didn't have the same taste as a lot of people in my class, which was sort of confusing at first.
But instead of being ashamed of being different, I ran with it.
Art is a very challenging field, and I learned with every mistake I made (and still make). But I absolutely love art and the way you can represent yourself in a completely different and interesting way. The phrase "stay in the lines" no longer applies to my every day art life. I challenge myself to think outside the box and to have a meaning behind every piece of art I create. And now I'm bringing my artistic mind to the world of photography.
